Day Five of the “New Normal”…

Well, we have “successfully” completed our first week of the “New Normal.” I say “successfully” because we are all alive. And I guess that is about the best I could hope for?! We are working from home, schooling from home, and living from home. Home is beginning to feel very, very small.

Luckily, we have a shed-quarters for Doug to work in. And the boys can school in separate areas of the house. As of next Tuesday, we will re-jigger things a bit so that Milo has his very own desk space in a corner of my office. I’m hoping that removing him from the main area helps with the conflicts we are having. (The magnetic pull to the snack cabinet for Milo, the lack of respect from Spencer on the fact that the kitchen is Milo’s classroom.)

I’ve given up all hope that I’ll be able to work through this time. I’m HOPING I can at least get some projects done around the house and in my sewing room. I’m REALLY HOPING that these kids get on board with the new schooling concept. Monday we find out how much longer this is our new educational plan. I’m more than a little nervous.

Stay healthy, stay safe.
