Three weeks later...
{I started this post on Wednesday... it’s now Sunday and I finally have a chance to wrap it up. Life. It’s going quicker than I can keep up with.}
And here we are. Mid-ish April. OMG, how did that even happen?!?! {That’s a post for another day...}
It’s hard to believe that it was less than a month ago that we were pondering which direction we were going to go in terms of buying or renting! In that timeframe we’ve seen so many properties, gone to more open houses than even I find enjoyable, and stayed up way past our bedtimes many, many nights researching house-related needs and improvements. BUT! After a whirlwind week, we are under contract on a house!! Tomorrow is the inspection, which will feel like a really good point at which to talk more about this house, and this process... in this town... which seems to have a booming seller’s market. Mind-boggling. And slightly exciting in that “climbing to the top peak of the roller coaster and about to plummet down” way. The type of exciting where you don’t know if you want to scream or throw up.
In other news, I’ve finished up a couple of projects, sent out proposals for two more, and stalled out on three. Way less exciting, and way harder to stay focused on, when there are houses to buy. Going into a school vacation week... I’m not really where I need to be. And kind of stressed out. Unfortunately, it’s not the “jump into action” stressed, it’s the “sit here frozen” stressed. I know it will all get done, but being that it’s more than three months into the year... I really need to get my game plan together.
I’ve also been lagging in my crafting areas. I find that I’m so exhausted by the end of the day, I just don’t have it in me to do anything besides binge watch TV and play mindless iPad games. I’m hoping that changes PRONTO. I’m thinking that now that I’m not constantly stressed out by what’s happening in the housing market, I’ll be able to remain focused during the day and make headway in the evening. My new goal is to move way less WIPs [Works in Progress] than last year! We will see if that happens...
Overall though... life is good. Moving along quicker than I want it to be... but that seems to be how it goes.
And, since I want to be better about documenting my crafty pursuits, I’ll end with a smattering of random things that I have been working on...
