the first post.

I'm absolutely horrible with introductions and first impressions. I fumble and stumble my way through them... usually leaving people more confused when they leave my side than they were when they walked up to me. And here, I find myself in a similar position with the first post of a blog that I started to be more about me and my creative pursuits. (As opposed to other blogs I've authored, mostly about family or business.) 

Let's keep it simple with some basic facts...

My name is Christine. I'm forty two years old. I have a husband, two kids, some fish, and a dog. I live where the country meets suburbia on the edge of the sea. I'm a graphic designer by degree, and a photographer through passionate pursuit of the hobby. I'm a maker at heart and a coffee drinker to a fault. I spend as much time in comfy clothes as possible, preferably LuLaRoe. And I find that my main responsibilities in life revolve around family and freelance work. Which means there is very little left for ME at the end of it all. My dreams, my hobbies, my creative pursuits. 

And that is why this blog was born. As a challenge, but also as a way to push myself closer to my goals, my dreams. At the very least ... to start. To dive in. The problem?! I have no idea what exactly these goals and dreams are. What I want to do. Who I want to be. Even where {geographically} I want to be.  

Maybe it's time to figure that out.
